Any benefit in bringing followers to The Blades?

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 6:20 pm

Any reason to bring people to become a blade? Is there a reward of some kind? Also, what kinds of benefits do I receive if I kill Paarthurnax, if any?

Spoiler
You get some followers, but the Grey Beards kick you out, so you'll have to find the dragonshouts on your own.

No, it's just a poorly hashed out side-faction that's still ranting and raving about Dragon genocide thousands of years later. No benefit at all, just some followers and the ability to go on Dragon hunts.

Spoiler
It starts the Blades questline when you got 3 followers, the questline is really bad its just random dragon encounters, but you get a buff which makes you take 25% less melee damage from dragons better than nothing. I waited until the greybeards stopped revealing shouts before i killed Paarthurnax.

I have 3 blade recruits, you can can go dragon hunting with the old guy, haven't done that yet. You all get cool samurai looking heavy armour and katana's.

Christ, really? All the OP did was mention the that you could bring followers to the Blades. Last time I checked, it wasn't against the rules to mention the names of the game's factions in your title.

Don't worry it doesn't.. Your asking if their are any benefits to something people would have no clue of if they weren't their in the game.. They would be like Blades.. What type of blades.. Blades that can follow you.. Im confused :celebration:

Thats only 1 of 3 different shouts and you can get it and then kill Paarthurnax so you get both buffs.

Reason i use spoiler tags is because this all plays out really late in the main quest, even if the blade faction may be known to people that haven't completed the main quest yet, the condition to join them may not be.

You don't have to

Spoiler
kill Paarthurnax

if you work on the Blades quests at the correct time during the story line:

They have some things to offer, but Dragon Infusion perk is currently broken so it isn't worth it to do the spoiler above if you went too far in the story until they fix Esbern's Potion.
