This can and should not happen. Do you have other stuff still listed? Maybe you just accidently switched to a different view like "Tools" ?

@Grappa's Hammer - Yeah lots of other stuff listed (that I don't use and ain't installed), I checked all the tabs and still nothing.

@Atkara - by something bad you mean hacked?? Even if that was the case I'm sure it would disappear from the list. I'm running version 1.4.21.04 and when going online there's no auto update (not that I miss that god awful thing) but it is actually like Steam has no trace of the game...very strange.

If you click on the "Library" tab, right beside the "search" field and below the word "Library", there should be a rather small menu, called either games, tools, last played, installed, or whatever you have chosen.
If it's set to "Tools", then you have not listed your installed games, but the available tools. Click on it and choose Games.

Hope that helps.

Did you buy reatail box, or directly throuhg Steam, or just the Steam key itself? I've heard that if you buy a key itself, and Valve discovers that the seller used stolen credit cards to buy the games, then it may vanish form the library. It's the darkest scenario, but still it's worth asking where have you bought the game.

I bought it retail for PC hence the reason I'm in the PC forum :)
