A bit of perspective as to why SOME of us complain about Sky

Great summary. Agree with pretty much everything you wrote. Forgot to emphasize this line

This alone has basically ruined the entire game for me.

Some unique loot is scaled up, but that's it. So what are you talking about?

Unique loot should NEVER be scaled. EVER. Should I be punished for not spending the first 30 levels grinding skills to get a decent reward? NO.

Unique items not being scaled and unique items being scaled both carry with them certain problems, some of which can be alleviate at least in part by in game tools should a developer add them to a game. I'm ok in theory with them either way because there are lot of other factors that play into how gratifying/annoying the system in place ends up being.

None of this is new - we've heard it a million times before. Worse its barely coherent. It's not worth arguing whether any of these individual points is valid. But ultimately if you want these features, play Oblivion, play Morrowind. It's that simple.

Or wait until the construction kit is available and someone makes a mod to fix these issues. I'm sure someone will because you aren't the only person complaining. There is nothing wrong with liking the game the way it is and nothing wrong with wishing it had features from previous games. That is the great thing about modding: Everybody wins.
