A Curious Issue...

So:
1. I've moved my Skyrim install to an SSD drive and used the "junction.exe" applet to link this to the Steam install folder.
2. I'm running on SKSE so I have a renamed executable, which I use to run the game rather than opening Steam, going to the library and hitting "play".

(The above have been done under instruction from documentation and this forum so it's not been "hacked together" as it were).

But: for those unfamiliar with skse, it does not bring up the initial Skyrim menu, it goes to the game menu.
Does anyone know how to get to the actual skyrim datafile menu - (the one right at the beginning) - because it's no longer accessible via conventional means given the above implementation - (and no, I don't want to change it back) - substituting the skse executable for the original one does not work.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for help to dig me out of a self-made hole - if I need to amend initial graphics settings I can use the ini files, and I use BOSS and TESMM for plugin management - (I don't like NMM's implementation) - but I am curious to know if there is a way round this.

Cheers!
:)

I use an app called Dirlinker to do the same thing but i can still use the launcher, It might be worth reverting back to the original install path & using Dirlinker as it does everything automatically..
As far as why it's not working i cannot help you, As far as junctions & directory links are concerned i use an app due to my complete & utter lack of understanding on how it all works.

However, Skyrim & the fallouts are linked to my SSD & all work as normal, All launchers work correctly etc.
