Been back to Riverwood on quite a few occasions, when I do I always make my way to the wood cutting area to see if he's there so that I can chop/sell him some wood but he's never there, when I visit his house he talks to me and then follows me outside but then just stands by his door all day??

Is this happening/happened to anybody else?

Hod is in his and Gerdur's house. A slight bug in his AI setup or something makes him not emerge from his house. Enter his house so he can properly exit.

As stated in my post, done that and it didn't work.

Confused about thread being moved. How is this a hint, cheat or spoiler by any means? Anyway, luring him out of his house worked for me. If he's outside talk to him, but go away while he's still talking. Maybe this will make him move.

Have you tried waiting a full 24 hours.. and visiting him during shop hours.. (8-20).. In all my playthroughs (3d just started).. he stays home (lazy b*st*rd .. However I don't have any problem selling him firewood (xbox).

i chop wood and if he's not standing up the ramp then i go to his house. last time i went in to his house and woke him up out of bed. he arose and i sold him the firewood. you can sell him the firewood when he is in his house.

Same thing happened to me, this was before the 1.2 patch. He just wasn't there one day and never came back. I tried to find his house but got bored and went on my way. Figured it was a bug.
