Re-installing Skyrim [Help maybe]

Hey, just checking that I got all my bases covered for the smoothest re-install possible.

I have run into a few bugs on my game that I cannot fix, even with all mods off it persists, so I went through NMM and disabled them all, now I am going to uninstall the game, but I have a few questions.

Will NMM lose all the mods it has in it? (I do want to re-activate some mods w/o having to search them all again)
What files do I need to backup to keep my current graphics settings, and controller layout?

I know of the .ini files, but anything else they rely on?

PS. I decided to reinstall as it's probably less hassle haha, not gonna be so crazy about activating all the mods in future. :P

You should head over to the pc-section and/or the mods forum and ask there

In your skyrim directory there is a mods folder, copy that and install it back later and you should have all the mods you installed ready to install again. There are also files like high, very high etc which i presume are your graphic settings. Havent experimented with them before tho so im not sure. You might also want to copy your SKSE files (if you had it installed) and its plugin folder for easy re install.

Even after reinstall I can't fix this thing. :(
I added few mods, but I can't figure out what's causing this weird issue.

Basically when I start a new character, at the point I am to be executed, Hadvar walks off and keeps walking indefinitely into the wall that you can see when lying down for the haircut, and Alduin never lands on the tower, he just keeps flying around overhead, so I'm stuck there. :/
No idea what mod would cause this. :(

Anyone have an idea or experienced this before?

You could use the console to force the quest to move on but dont know how that will effect the situation. What mods have you added?

It appears on the UESP so maybe it isn't a mod doing it.

But it happens every time. :(

I'll post my load order if it fails this time. (Creating my char again, again, lol, I know the settings I want off by heart now, takes me like 15 seconds to do my char lol)

Another bug may occur when you are lead to the block and lay down looking up at the executioner and the tower where Alduin is first seen. Rather than flying in and landing on the tower, Alduin instead flies around in circles overhead. This leaves you stuck staring at the executioner who stands there holding his axe and the game is unable to progress. It appears the only way to fix this is to restart the game.

EDIT: WIN, it worked this time, I narrowed it down to one of 3 possible mods. (Just by chance these 3 were chosen to be uninstalled in my figuring out what done it quest)

2. Frostfall Hypothermia - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11163
3. Mercy - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11932

Not sure which of those 3 it is, although I am leaning towards Frostfall as I have seen people post about that mod lagging up scripted events before, but it never happened to me in all the time of using it other than this one instance.

try it with each mod and see which one is causing the problem
