Wish list for DLC house

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 1:33 pm

I typically like the DLC houses better. They tend to be bigger and have fast traval points outside :P

I'd like a DLC house with its own forge and about 6 manquines(sp?) to display armor and lots of weapon racks. I also want more storage containers close to my forge/alters because it only makes sence to be able to dump all of my ore and supplies into something next to my forge or soul gems next to my enchanting alter or ingredients next to my alchmey lab.

If I could pick a spot for it I would place it south west-ish from whiterun and would like it to look house-like not a wizard tower or under water assassins lair.

Anyone else have an ideal DLC house?

No interest in DLCs really. I'm just waiting for the modders to get up and running.

Would also like a house with a room that has 6+ Mannequins and a lot of weapon racks/ display cabinets to show all my awesome quest weapons and armours. Would love itif it was on the side of a cliff or on a hill top and would be fairly big. Like the forge idea and would look awesome if they used the forge fire to light up the room. Dont want something as big as battlehorn castle from oblivion because it was too big for me I barely went in most of the rooms but something like a manor would be awesome

This is what I said in another thread:

"Ill be dreaming right alongside you boyo. I love my home in riverwood, but it just doesnt cut it. What I need is a castle. A good one, realisticly designed, aka, better designed than battlehorn, which was very unrealistic( see modern marvels on castles to get the feel Im goin for). A town to go along with this would be great. Id have it along the northern shore so you could upgrade your trade posts, docks, and stores. You'd be able to decide which factions could set up shop in your town. This should only be available after the MQ though, becoming a jarl would make a good reward, something the mq is lacking. being able to upgrade my castle and town would make thi game infinetly more exciting, and probly extend the game months, and maybe even years past its console experation date(with out mods, only so much I can do). Hell, why not give us winter hold, it needs to be rebuilt any way, no one better to do that than dragonborn! "

This would be the ultimate dlc in my opinion. As far as the castle goes, I would expect it to at least have what the other houses have, except maybe more display options as yall said. This would compleate my game for sure :celebration: .

That sounds more like a DLC city.

I would like to be able to rent out houses I own but don't really use. Even if the gold earned in doing so wasn't amazing.

Houses in general feel like there is just something missing. I enjoy the decorating, arranging things around the place, but that only goes so far.

The utility of houses is great, I just wish there was something else I could do with them.

I'd rather have them fix the mannequins.

I would like "cabin in the woods" DLC. With mysterious and spooky quest to go along. I don't think I would like a DLC house with no quest attached.

Yeah I like quest attached houses too. It's kinda dumb to just get a letter saying "hey you get a new house congrats" I enjoyed the hunted house in avil quest

A vampire house. Or better yet....a cabin in the pine forest for my werewolf characters! I could move there and take Aela with me.

Yep gotta have a quest even a small one attached to a DLC-player home to make it feel like my own, I dout that Beth will do the type I want
which is a Forsaken style camp in the mountains or forest, so as soon as the CK come out I guess i will be making my own --
Location: Forest/Mountains
Location Type: Forswarn Encampment
NPC(s): Forswarn (friendly!) and one of them birdy hags (also Friendly!) (forget name!)
Home Type: Large seperate tent (enter via transport door)
with magical creation area (ie alchemy & Enchantment) plus loads of storage.
Out side: The full Smithing kit and loads of storage
Other: Full range of the basic plants for Alchemy growing local and a mine for the most basic ores (self replenishing)
not to far away, maybe a repeatable quest of medium strenght.

or some thing like that anyway, I guess there will be a few mods along these lines, always is but think i will make my own
and have it like want instead of settling for some thing as near as possible, plus its fun to do :)

I like the upgradable city idea.
I would also like to see a bookshelf for alchemy ingredients. Basically use the same mechanic to arrange alchemy ingredients on a shelf/cabinet. The shapes and sizes of ingredients vary a lot more than books though so not sure if it's really feasible. Would be a nice little addition though.

I liked how oblivion did it with a house for each class, a castle for warriors, a tower for mages, an underground layer for assassins, and maybe some type of cabin with a bunch of hidden rooms and stuff for thieves.

I would also like a library of book shelves enough for one of each book in the game. As a collecter I like to have rare items in display so I would like to display one of each rare armor set and maybe one for each top level armor dragon light and heavy plus dedric and glass. And lots of weapon racks just in a display room.

I want a mage tower. One that's more interesting and homey-feeling than Frostcrag Spire in Oblivion.

 Yeah, haha, I go a little over-the-top with some of my ideas. Realy, I just want the castle, but I added in the city part because I feel becoming nobility in skyrim would be realy cool/ a nice reward for slying dragons.
