Hi all,

I am level 26 and I am doing late the azura star quest and am now within the star to kill these 3 deadric guys and the other guy.
Man these are just to strong. They kill me within 2 to 3 shoots with they fire balls from distance.

Any recommendation on how to do that quest ?

currently there is no magic resistance of any kind. It does not function as of patch 1.2. That is making this mage encounter of yours too deadly.

try to stun then with fusrodah? Or any other shout you have.

dodge the fire balls? just a thought.

can you summon anything in there?
can you use scrolls in there?

I don't really see this as a spoiler, so don't linch me if it is

I got a shield from some quest (don't remember wich) that also forms a ward when blocking and absorbs X amount of damage. that's how I was possible to get close.
other option is a lot of healing potions and some fire resist

Turn the difficulty down.

I died a few times, then went to the atronach stone, was cake after that!
Even my mages now use that stone.
Downside being when it takes 6 attempts to summon anything as they also get absorbed!

Get the Atronach stone. Absorb effects still work

At the first corner there is a crystal sticking out. If you lure them to the corner then go behind the crystal, they will stand there nuking but just hitting the crystal. Each time they shoot, you can dodge abit to the right and land an arrow in their face. Repeat until dead.

How can I get the Astronach stone ?

After dying a few times I just sprinted right at the guy the second he stopped talking. Caught him flat-footed. Two glass axes made short work of him.
Then I hid until Azura saved me.

but those Dremora already were quite deadly to begin with,depending on your build.
My warrior had a lot of trouble closing the gap to prevent getting nuked,only to receive those flame shield/wall spells point blank.

Best bet is to ignore Dremora,run straight to the mage,kill and hide from dremora behind 'pillar' at end of star road untill Azura finishes her monolugue and zaps you out of there.

I just stepped right and hid behind the crystals, took em out 1 at a time with a bow.

I hided behind the cristal and used my Ebony bow.... Was long but it worked.

I just used a bow with paralyze. Duck, cover and shoot. (rinse and repeat.

I did this yesterday as a level 33 and had a lot of trouble as well. I had to use every weapon in my arsenal to get by. As an orc, I basically charged in while activating weapon fury shout + Orc berserk and stocked up on health potions beforehand and turned out ok.

Another metod is to do Peryite shrine quest to get spellbreaker, which is 50% magic reduction, then get the 50% elemental damage reduction on the block skill tree (requires 3 perks, lvl 50). That way you have 100% magic resistance when you block, I'm trying that next time. IIRC, Peryite is northeast of markarth, inbetween Rorikstread and that other town to the west (starts with a K)

I did this at almost the exact same level and had a lot of trouble too. Took me 3 or 4 tries. On a pure mage, I just started casting chain lightning to try and spread the damage around. And I ate through almost every potion I had:) Ended up killing Malyn last as I didn't realize I got ported out after he died because I was dead too fast the time before that.
