For a while I thought I'd somehow locked my framerate at 30, but that's most certainly not the case now. I've now tried everything I can find and my framerate simply will not increase. On release and in 1.2 I had a steady 40-60fps (depending on settings). I came back to play a few days ago and my framerates have taken a dive for no apparent reason. It no longer matters what my settings are at. At low settings I run about 32fps, at high settings I drop to about 25. I've done everything I can think of and nothing will get me above about 32fps while playing. Menu's are 60fps steady, but gameplay is just horrible. Even dropping all settings to their minimum, 32 is the absolute best framerate I can get. I'm running an ASUS G73JW-A1. Its proven to run the game just fine at high framerates before but I'm stumped as to what happened here.

Here's a dxdiag. Any other info you think could be useful just ask. It was suggested to me elsewhere to check if my GPU was kicking on the performance 3d clocks, and I've confirmed that it indeed is kicking up to 675/1350/1250 which is standard for a GTX 460m. I'm completely lost as to what else could be the problem.

Did you make a new savefile and start from there?

Do you have any mods installed?

I thought it might be mods, so I uninstalled all of them and restarted a new save file. No effect, still stuck at sub-30 framerates.

Drop your Screen Resolution....1920x1080 is a bit steep for the game on a laptop. See if this will net you more FPS....IF it does not get you any more FPS then you have a CPU bottleneck.

Check power profile , for a laptop if on saver mode you don't get the full potential of your CPU..try performance mode, (think laptops have that mode?) Balanced is another option. If plugged in, I would try High Performance.
