Random Quest With Cicero. o_o

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 12:42 am

I dunno if this was a random event, or a scripted mini-quest, but at a small farm I saw Cicero from the Dark Brotherhood who was transporting the coffin with the night mother inside but had lost a wheel and was trying to get the farmer to help him fix his cart. You had the choice to report him to a nearby guard lying and saying he did a crime to get him to leave the farmer alone or convince the farmer to help him.

I convinced the farmer to help him, but I thought it was cool that I saw him outside the brotherhood. I'm curious, does this quest have any influence at all with dialogue in the storyline? If so what happens if you convince the farmer to help him? The guard to arrest him? How, if at all, does this affect the DB? I haven't joined the DB with my current character yet so I don't know if there's anything changed.

Just thought I'd share. xD

How interesting. I've done two playthroughs, and never saw that.

First time I killed the DB, second time I joined it.

Funny I saw him before the darkbrother hood. He was saying he had his mother. At the time I had no clue it was the night mother. Later after I did the quest and convinced the dude to help him you go back there and the people in the house are killed. You sorta are pushed toward the idea the Cicero did it. Murdering fool. By far my favorite character in the entire game. I want more of him. I usually just read dialogue and skip it before they say it with other characters but with him I have to hear eveything he says. I want him appointed to me when I become a thane of a city.

If you decide to spare Cicero's life, do you ever see him again? Does anything change in the Dark brotherhood?

Haha wow so my character pretty much ensured the death of everyone in the farm. xD And nice, I haven't decided if I am going to join on this character or destroy the DB given my character's story, but it would be awesome to have the insane clown as my follower. ;p

So does anyone know if doing that quest before the DB affect the dialogue with him? even the intro?

My sister did that quest and found out(when I played my chara) he was in the DB haha she wasn't happy she helped him anymore.
oh and speaking of dead NPC after helping him, has anyone noticed that in the companions when they have you track down a escaped criminal if you leave him alone he can and will murder innocent farmers?
I had a run in with one such criminal outside markarth, I engaged but then ran away hide myself, went to find him again only to see that sweet old couple lying dead in their garden :( and the criminal got caught and killed by the guards nearby on the road to the city... I really felt bad about it I should have killed him sooner!!! :sadvaultboy:

Lucien Lechance says Sithis doesn't want you to kill Cicero. I spared him and loved it when he became my follower. Cicero is the best

This... :glare:
So much this.

Its happened to me and I really didn't like him from the start. I completely ignored the cart quest and suddenly when I was going through the DB questline i was like WTF why are YOU here?

Doing the quest for him does change his dialogue when you join the sanctuary. He remembers you and has a few extra lines about it.
