I am doing the DB quest, and I got a psychic hookup from olava.


I went to the exact spot where I was supposed to go, and the quest completes, but I see no corpse to loot.

Did you open the secret door behind the throne chair?

Yes. Saw a chest. In primary guide there was also a dead assassin. I had none

Well that's weird. The quest does not spawn that body either - only the button next to the throne which opens the secret door behind it. The body and compartment are there even before you start the quest (can see this clearly on the pc if you no-clip through the wall) so its not like the quest could have failed to create it. Had you cleared out that dungeon earlier? Maybe - did not do this when I did though - it might have reset the area if you had cleared it earlier. This could have possibly included that corpse with the armor on it, even though at that time you would not have been able to find the alcove.

Are you sure you're checking the right place? Post a screenshot from just outside the secret alcove and of your local map - maybe you're looking in the wrong secret room/alcove.

a) I have cleared hag's end twice before, once for fun and another time for a radiant quest.

I found that no swtich wall before the quest, clipped back, looked around, saw it was just a chest, and left it alone. never saw body. always wondered about that chest.

c) now a switch appears. I use it. i see the chest.

I did a reload because if I travel to hag's end I have to kill all the forsworn nearby to fast travel. so when I could not find the body, I reloaded for later.

i promise I am in right place. you go into the place, kill 4-5 witches and a hargraven. you open a door that looks like it is just a crap boulder room but go up the stairs on the right. at the top of the stairs is a throne room with 2 witches a hargraven, and a level that lowers a bridge. on the left of the wall behind the throne is a switch (that was not there before).....using the switch shows a chest. walking to the chest autocompletes the quest, as the non existent corpse should be right there.

That's an odd one but clearly a bug. well you earned the armor so if you're on the pc you can always add it to yourself using the console and not feel like cheating.
