Is there a house I can buy with an Alchemy LabEnchanting Sta

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 4:38 am

And how do I go about getting the cheapest one? I've only ever bought the house in Whiterun so I don't really know. Any information would be greatly appreciated, apologies if this topic comes up constantly.

The house in Windhelm has both, but it's rather expensive.

12000 to purchase the house, an additional 3000 for Alchemy (1500) and Enchanting (1500)

Honeyside in Riften and Vlindrel Hall in Markarth. Those and Breezehome are the ones I've bought, But I assume all of them except Breezehome has both.

Oh I did not realize this one has them too... I never use it due to the uncleanable "mess" found within...

Proudspire Manor in Solitude

No chests next to the enchanting/alchemy room though. The chests are upstairs and the ench/alch room is in the basemant. Pain in the ass.

All the buyable houses except Breezehome have both.

I tend to prefer Markarth. I think it's the coziest but also still fancy/classy and has the most book space too. And the view of the city from the doorstep is nice.

This never really bothered me too much since there are other containers available. I just dump my crafting tools into a barrel. Kept gear, overstock weapons, and "neat" stuff goes into chests/safes. Just a personal method.

Riften is good because it has an entrance into the city and a backdoor to the world.

Has a garden too for growing your much needed ingredients!

And a back porch, if you want to sit with your Housecarl and watch the sun set!

Upstairs and a downstiars.

Two beds!

Plus everything you're ever going to need once you get all the upgrades.

Definitely going for the one in Riften. Becoming than of Riften, I'm reading, requires talking to an Argonian chick at the docks?

An Argonian chick asks you for a health potion to curb an addiction, and you can pass a Persuasion, Intimidation, or Bribe to get the location of a skooma dealer. Doing the following quest is required to become Thane.

Among other things. But it's a good start. I'm pretty sure UESP or the other Skyrim wiki has more details.
