I have a bugged quest and can't figure out the console comma

"Stealing Plans"... I'm at Faldor's Tooth and the supposed plans are nowhere to be found. Searching Google and trying different commands have had zero success. Any help is appreciated!

I did! But nothing happens. I don't get a message stating "script not recognized" or anything... just, nothing. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help, by the way!

First, backup your savegames.

Then, try this command:

Player.additem 000f1491 1

If the code are insert correctly, you will have 1 Silver Hand Stratagem in your inventary. Return that to Aela, and the quest will be finish.

That code worked, and I now have the Stratagem, but the game doesn't recognize that fact, it doesn't advance the quest, and I don't get a dialogue option to give it to Aela when I speak with her.

I've tried every console code, including "resetquest CR10", but it's like the game is ignoring my codes. Any other ideas? Thanks, by the way!

I had trouble finding it so you could always revert to the save before the console command was entered and turn on floating inventory markers in the options. That should help you locate it. I recommend turning it back off after since it eats up a bit of performance or can depending on how many quests are being tracked and specs etc. Also apologies if you had them already on and the item is indeed totally missing just figured I should toss that out there.

Yeah, I already had them on. Didn't realize you could turn them off, actually.
The problem is, the Stratagem doesn't appear at Faldar's Tooth (where my quest generated), period. It's a pretty seriously bugged quest if I can't even use console commands to finish it.
I don't know if I can finish the rest of the Companions quests without finishing that one. Kinda bummed.

Damn... :( Ok, to Tychred:

Try that command again, if you don't have the stratagem in your inventory ----> Player.additem 000f1491 1

Then try this ----> Player.Drop 000f1491 1

Then pick up the stratagem from the floor and see if the quest updates. Repeat (add with console -> drop with console -> pickup -> drop with console -> pickup ...) if not working, sometimes after 3 or 4 times he works. If yes, now try to speak with Aela.

If not, I guess you already try

setstage CR10 20 (after you add the stratagem with ----> Player.additem 000f1491 1)

or

setstage CR10 100

or

setstage CR10 200

to try finish the quest...

Also, this is a shot in the dark, but you can try this to force Aela to stay with the stratagem IF she don't give you the dialogue options:

Open console, then select Aela, then ----> equipitem 000f1491

to see if the quest updates.

You can also try ----> movetoqt CR10

before you have the stratagem (or remove it from your inventory with ----> player.removeitem 000f1491 1)

And you will be teleport to the marker of the quest, and see if the stratagem is there... Perhaps the stratagem IS THERE, but you don't see him because it can be down in the floor or beyind a wall. So....

Try this then ----> tcl

...to remove toggle collision, and search for the stratagem around the marker (up, down beyond the floor or the wall, etc)... If you see them, pickup it , go to a "normal" space in the game, a little above to the ground and ----> tcl

...again to add toggle collision again to your character.

I have no more ideas for now, I'm sorry.

EDIT: Don't forget to backup your savegames, please.
