in "Reunification of Skyrim" when your sent by General Tullius to Legate Rikke to take "Regain Winterhold Hold" ive came across a bug that wont let me proceed in the quest line

issue is when i arrive to talk to Legate Rikke, while she has a pointer attached to her she wont give me the dialogue option to proceed, ive checked the wiki for a fix, non of them work, most fix's after checking the scripts dont apply to this bug "Regain Winterhold Hold" or are total BS, ive tried the fix on steamworks (non listed on steam, find it though google) but that doesnt work either, has anyone came across this issue and found a fix?

It involves CWobj script and subscripts, basiclly anything CW based seems to be related to it, ive tried progressing it with setstage ect but it doent seem to work, I noticed that it seems there is something attached to the legion civil war quests thats a faction check or something, also i couldnt find any global variables or mentions of a legion CW faction in the editor, . idea's?

I haven't met this problem yet because i haven't even started that questline, but a friend of mine met the same problem you described. It seems a real and annoying bug, I hope bethesda will fix it! Anyway, there is a mod available in steam workshop that "should" fix that bug temporarily, at least unitl the developers decide to patch it once for all.

If you search on "Reunification" in these forums, you will see that lots of people have this problem, and the various suggested ways around it don't work for most people. Wait for a patch from Beth or one from a modder. Personally, I've basically given up. I check every few weeks, but me interest in getting back into the game is waning quickly.

This problem went away for me when I installed the Unofficial Patch by Kivan http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1359350-beta-unofficial-skyrim-patch-thread-3%5D That patch fixes sooooo much bugged crap in the game. You should definitely give it a try.

To be safe though, you should load a save from before you talked to Tullius, before he told you to talk to the glitched Rikke. When I found that no amount of cooking pot activations, sleeping in bed rolls, or console commands would work, I loaded a save from before I even talked to Tullius and continued doing other quests. Not sure if that's required but better safe than sorry.
