I am so torn on this, it's ridiculous...

I have the game guide, so I know what happens with either choice, but I am totally torn. Do I kill an innocent person to be accepted into the Dark Brotherhood? Or do I save countless lives by killing Astrid and freeing the three captives?

Choices....CHOICES!!

Well, do you want to do the DB questline or wipe them out?

That's why I'm so torn in this. I'm playing this game in a chaotic-good fashion. I kill daedra and the undead, I save people and kill thieves, yet I also turn into a werewolf and slay bandits for fun. Astrid is wicked hot, though......I may join, just so I can kill Cicero later on.

Kill the 'innocent' or else you miss out on all the DB quests which are fun. Talk to them, they say unpleasant things to you, so you should enjoy killing them.

3k gold versus way way more advantages... those npcs will forever stay in that cabin regardless of what you do.

There's really no "saving" folks, outside of your own imagination. What it comes down to is if you want to miss an entire quest line or not. The Brotherhood is arguably the best of the side-mission guilds.

You can let the NPC's go at least, didn't know they stayed in the cabin...

But I am very happy you have the option to destroy the DB instead. Thank you Bethesda :tes:

This is one of those things that makes me feel bad for complaining so much about some little things I don't like in the game, Skyrim really is an amazing game.

In my opinion, yes.

The characters are more interesting, the missions are more "fun" and it's a cool experience. Though all of those are opinions, since I love sneaking around sniping people with a bow and rolling their corpses down mountain sides.

Depends how you are role playing. If it's bothering you so much you should just kill Astrid then role a different character that doesn't mind killing innocent people. You gotta get in the right mindset; I have a problem with playing an 'evil' player, so I rolled a Kahjiit that is a hunter. He hunts treasure, beast, and humanoid all the same.

kill the cat, he's a bad dude and he doesn't care who knows.

the others are kind of evil, but he is evil and knows it, so just kill him

the DB quest line is the best in the game imo

If you're having this much trouble, let me delicately suggest that the Dark Brotherhood may not be the career path for your Dovahkiin.

I would just make a new evil-er character and do it later.

my opinion. don't kill cicero. summon the spectral assassin and you will be told SITHIS DONT want him DEAD.

and he is a really good follower. a bit talky, but he never screws me up in combat like some followers do.

cicero is so so so so cool. Did you know he was never a real jester? his backstory rocks.

not killing him does not change game. I found an extra jester outfit in the DB questline, and if you don't like his voice, then just don't make him a follower. killing him just weakens the DB. so if you are Roleplaying DB true blue, don't kill him.

iceman, you have made a terrible anolysis of cicero. is by far less "evil" than astrid. he never betrayed his own. cicero likes to kill. SO DO ALL THE DB PEOPLE!!!! gabriella says she killed a unicorn! those are so rare...they ain't in the game!!

seriously, if you kill cicero for being evil, you need to just wipe out DB and not be DB.
