Ok, did not want the 1.5 update because I was only getting a few crashes a day with 1.4 patch. My roomate went online to check e-mail and Whoops! forced update had started before they could shut down.

Now all my Wordwalls are completely bugged. They make the sizzling, crackling lightning sound, but he word never lights up and you never learn the word. The wall just makes the noises like it is giving you the word but you never get past that point. I tried it with 5 walls both inside and outside, on 15 different saves from before and after the 1.5 patch.

I have even started a new game and tried 10 different walls right after I left Helgen. Nothing happens at all, no word of power, no way to shout. All the walls now seem to be bugged.

No more! I think they just broke my will to try to keep playing this game.

15 years as a dedicated fan and customer and I am over it.

Do you have any mods installed? Have you tried deactivating any of them? I have no idea what could be causing your problem. I updated to 1.5 earlier today and I haven't experienced anything bad after playing for a couple of hours, let alone this.

I started a brand new game on a clean install after the update. No mods at all. Everything is vanilla, no replacers or anything. I am going to go and do an update on my other computer because I can revert back to 1.4.27 on that system if it also has a bug with the Word Walls. I have seen three people reporting this issue on another forum (Nexus), so I'm watching that one to see if there is a solution or if they find the cause for the bug.
