1.5.26 released?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 6:15 am

I've just received a new auto update: version 1.5.26

I'm pretty sure yesterday evening it was still 1.5.24.

Why no announcement on the site?

It's a new small update yes. Maybe Ambient Occlusion fix?

1.5.26 sneaked out right before the weekend with no notes. I'm guessing a changelog is coming. Until then, we can only rely on a diff to determine what changed.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm loving the amount of post-release support this game is getting :)

Mine reverted back to 1.5.24 almost immediately.

Apparently they pulled 1.5.26 back. Lots of people are getting a second 17.3MB update that drops them back to 1.5.24. I haven't gotten the second update...yet, but I'm sure it's pending.

Looks like someone accidentally posted a beta version as a public release. People are being reverted back to 1.5.24, and if you check in your Steam settings, there's now a Skyrim Beta available.

Lots of headaches would be saved on BOTH sides if Steam allowed, like any other sensible software out there, to opt out an update <_<

It appears that 1.5.26 was incorrectly pushed as an official update, then pulled. It is now available by opting in to the beta participation through the Steam client. This looks like a Valve error and not the fault of BGS. However, the lack of release notes from Gstaff is frustrating. Meetings again?

Release notes http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1361598-small-update-152605/page__view__findpost__p__20539679. Look for them in the beta forum, as this is currently offered through the beta participation and not as an official update. (Moderators may want to close this thread as it is currently being http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1361598-small-update-152605/in the beta forum).
