so for absolutely no apparent reason, my game isn't even loading as far as the main menu now.

Played last night, added a couple mods, then went to bed. Turned it on again tonight, and boom....dragon sigil loads and then it just hangs before the menu option even appear.

Yes, I have tons of mods running, and I deactivated them all. same thing.
updated to current steam release (not the beta) updated SKSE. same thing.
pulled out ini files to let game create new ones. same thing.
removed the ENB d3d.dll. same thing.
verified game cache twice. everything verified. same thing.

no idea why it's hanging before main menu loads, this has never happened before, and all the standard preliminary troubleshooting procedure has had zero effect.

I hope someone has an idea that doesn't involve a complete fresh reinstall or reverting to an earlier windows system restore point. (come to think of it, system restore was the only way I got this [censored] working last time it decided to implode.)

yeah, ok, I can't see myself spending multiple hours uninstalling everything and dl'ing fresh overnight then reloading all my mods just to find none of my saves work anymore.

That's like hours of work and effort to fix something that just inexplicably stopped working.

Think I'll just DELETE LOCAL CONTENT and be done with this hassle for a while. Consider the bird to be flipped.
