Arrow delay (1.5 AND earlier)

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 6:59 am

A wierd thing has been happening to me every now and then. When firing arrows, there is a slight delay after firing before the projectile launches (described below):

1: I draw an arrow.
2: I release the bow string (normally an arrow is launched at the same time).
3: The bow string returns to its original position without any arrow flying
4: Arrow launches a short time afterwards (varies, seen anything from miniscule 0.1s lags to a couple of seconds)

This wierd delay comes and goes seemingly random (obviously I don't fire arrows all the time, so it's hard to tell how often it really happens). It doesn't happen very often (happened maybe 4-5 times during my last 30h playthrough).

Anyone else experienced this, anyone know what might cause it?

It's happened to me before, but I've been playing a melee character and leaving my other save files alone in case something goes wrong. I will agree with you the arrow delay is a wierd bug; it happens to me more when enemies launch arrows at me rather than the other way around. If you've messed with uGrids, that might have something to do with it. I'm not very good with technical things, but have to tried lowering your gameplay settings to see if any of those would effect the arrows' delayed firing?

I think you have vsync or iPresentInterval disabled/set to 0.

Do you use a framerate limiter?

Hmm try telling the Nvidia panel to not use V-sync unless the program uses it. I know I've heard disabling it causes wonky stuff, but in some cases it fixes certain things. It might help with the arrow delay.

I use nVidia control panel to limit the fps to 59 (otherwise I get wonky mouse lag)

The fps limiter in Bandicam caused this for me. I live with it.
