Killing the Anomalies

I always had a hard time killing the anomolies that appear as part of the Winterhold College quests. I tried fireballs, frost, the Staff of the Magnus, Frost Atronarchs, etc. It was always tough and there was collateral damage. Well yesterday someone here on this forum, I can not find them, posted about how they will hold a one-handed weapon in one hand and heal in the other hand. So I tried that last night and it was a lot of fun. Enchanted sword in one hand and the other glowing with healing goodness. I did not have to move much as the anomolies came to me and let me bash them. Light Armor, one-hand, and restoration skills improved too. I had to be patient and keep and eye on the health bar, but I was able to kill four of them without killing Brelyna. So thank you poster, wherever you are. Your advice makes coming here more enjoyable.

This is why I'm glad I started that quest at 100 Light Armour and had an armour rating of 927 :) And Chillrend which was doing 160ish damage at the time.

I had a job lot of absorb health weapons I was taking to market when they appeared originally... don't think any of them had charges left by the end. That was my ticket to success.

These days i just pop a couple of damage/destruction buff potions and hack 'em to bits with my enchanted daggers
