Game crashes before character creation.

I have Skyrim on 360 but I decided to buy it on PC to play it with mods. I don't even make it to the character creation screen before it crashes my computer. I bought a video card and PSU to play it, so this is getting really frustrating. I have the disc version. If someone can help me that would be great. I have searched for a fix, but I haven't found anything that works.

I have tried the sound fix, turning off windows firewall and my anti-virus, and uninstalling and re-installing it 3 times. I have the latest drivers for my graphics card, and I updated DirectX. I have a few other games that work perfectly and they are newer games.

AMD Phenom II X4 840T 2.9GHz 64 bit Quad-Core Processor
6GB DDR3 1333
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Radeon HD 6670 2048MB GDDR3
600w PSU

Where exactually do you make it too....

Do you get past the Main logo screen, .....did you start the wagon ride?... Was there any Audio?....

When you updated GPU drivers , did you wipe the old drivers (in safe mode), or just update in place?

Put all setting on the lowest. Try in windowed mode. (in options , left side ) turn off all AA/AF.

It freezes half way through the wagon ride. There was audio. The screen turns balck, white or gray and then it crashes to the BSOD. I turned off AA/AF. I had integrated graphics before I installed the Radeon 6670. I disabled the integrated graphics card before installing the new one. I will try windowed mode and see if it helps.
