It'll run great on that rig. Nice powerful graphics card and plenty of ram. The only thing that might be an issue is the cpu. Dual cores are nice and all, and Skyrim will only use two cores, but these days quad is the way to go.

Yep CPU looks like your bottleneck otherwise totally fine.

With that CPU you should be fine for medium settings. Maybe higher settings for textures etc as that card is decent.

I had a 980 quad black edition for a week (not because of the processor) and it was amazing. I am willing to bet (but check) your MB could house one of those and they should be pretty cheap now if you want to bump up your experience a bit. That said you should be fine as is.

My phenom 2 x4 980 BE is great. Overclocked to 4.1 easy, and runs games really well. Considering it was almost 80 quid cheaper than an i5 2500, and I saved money on the MB not getting an intel one, I'd say I made the right choice :)

Yea man, so far haven't come across a CPU bottleneck yet. All my games run at 60 on high or max settings. When I get my gtx 570 this week, I'm anticipating being able to push settings a bit more than I am now in Bf3 and Batman AC etc, and my CPU will keep up :)

Fingers crossed like lol.
