Dwemer Topic!

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 3:46 pm

When I started playing this game and I started wandering into Dwemer ruins and the "Blackreach" I couldn't help but hope I would find one, or run into a city with some still alive. To my disapointment I don't think that'll happen. :(

Are their any quests or books or places to find out what happened to the Dwemer?

Whats you favourite Dwemer Dungeon?

Whats your favourite Dwemer Object?

I loved the giant cube you see in the cave way up north during the main questline, when you open it with the deadric prince sidequest :P. Blackreach was also real cool! I'd pick a Dwemer character if I could!

The race mysteriously dissappered 3600 years ago - so they're kinda like the egyptians of TES... Except that there's still egyptians around, but you know what I mean :hehe:

Go get Morrowind! That's really heavy on dwemer lore, and it explains a lot of the mystery around them. You may even meet one in that game.

I like Dwemer things as well, every time I go into a ruin a feel part archeologist and part tomb raider. I especially like the upgrades to dwemer spheres and centurions, centurions just look bad ass now, I actual have a little bit of aprehension when I see one down the hall.

I'm also a Dwemer fan and hope to see their return in a future TES, I'm especially interested in their technology.

The Dwemer are dead, and will never return. It'd be stupid for them too.

Wanna know what happened? They're now Numidiums shiny skin.

That's one of several theories. Dead things don't always stay dead. In strange eons even death may die.

Where did you get this information, the only thing I've heard is they just up and vanished, that's why the scholars find them fascinating.

I actually wouldnt mine seeing the Falmer regain their intelligence in future TES games, but thats because I keep hearin the Dwemer screwed them up and enslaved them. As for the Dwemer I am not sure about their return being a wise thing, I think them getting destroyed may have been the best thing from what Ive been hearing on these forums. I heard they messed with some God's Heart and thats when they completely vanished, they didnt sound like a peaceful race overall. But I both like and hate their ruins they are just amazing at the same time as being scary for some reason. I find myself looking for every possible trap I might accidently encounter and no place makes me save alot like the Dwemer ruins.

Yeah, seems to me the gme you want to be playing is morrowind. Tons of dwemer ruins, tons of dwemer lore, quests, you name it, heck you even run into one who's still alive, and get to ask him about what happened.

as for what happened to them, I always thought they tapped into Lorkhan's heart and used to power (or maybe something else used the power) to transport them all into a separate plane.

I felt the same way about the Falmer as you did for the Dwemer (I was pretty sure the Dwemer weren't coming back even before the release). But the Falmer I was hoping might have some intelligence remaining or a small colony deep underground that didn't take the Dwemer's poison. But alas, unless some DLC arrives, it seems they are fated to be Skyrim's version of Goblins and not an actual race of intelligent beings (had some hope that Blackreach would be that place too, sadly no).
