At the start of the game after creating my character she kneels to get hr head lopped off and Alduin just keeps circling, wont land. I guess I made her repulsive enough that not even the dragon wants to come near, or something like that!

Tried starting a few times and same result. Maybe realted to newest patch?

Have you tried verifying the files? Also, make sure no mods are activated.

The whole point of getting the pc version is to have mods to improve the experience. If you cant have mods, what is the point?

And? The point of turning mods off is because Beth cannot be held responsible for what other people's changes mess up in the game. There's a separate board for mods.

Also, I can argue the point of buying the PC version. I don't buy it for the mods. I buy it for other reasons. But that is not an argument worth having, as everyone buys something for different reasons.

I'm not on PC but I've had this exact thing happen to me before.

I've also had it once where he wouldn't break the piece of the tower and breathe fire into it. Had it where he breathed fire into it once and no fire appeared.

And have had it where I couldn't jump out of the hole he created, b/c the game was acting like he didn't break it open (but visibly it was).

Haven't had those issues pop up with a new char though since 1.3.5.0

I was lucky: restarting fixed it for me tho several save reloads without a full restart did not. I too suspect it was a mod issue, but whichever one it was, it did not perma-stop Alduin, as the reboot worked. GL man. .

As to deaths_soul's comment; there's no cause to get bent out of shape abt what he said, Berserk. He was RIGHT, after all; even if you like your mods more than the game itself (had a few of those in ES4), you still turn them off *to test*. Simple/standard troubleshooting procedure. You can always turn them back on once you are past the annoying start sequence.

I had two save games from where you're selecting your character - Alduin wouldn't land with either one, breaking the game. Starting a completely new game fixed it for me.
