Giant's Club (Not a useable weapon right?) Lydia is glitched

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 8:07 am

So a while back I had killed a Giant which dropped his Club and it said I could pick it up, but for some reason my character couldn't so I made Lydia do it. She did it though it seemed to just disappear into her inventory never to be seen again. However hours later after leaving Lydia at my house I came back with my Dunmer Mercenary (from the Drunken Huntsman) to drop off some stuff and...

Lydia is in my room naked, (besides the standard bikini thing and some boots) with the Giant's Club on her back.

I can still give her armor and weapons and she'll use them, but again if I get my other companion and come back she's naked again holding the club with the items I gave her still in her inventory.

Once I put something in her inventory however they re-register and auto equipped, but the cycle will repeat if I get my Dunmer Mercenary.

Here's pics sorry for bad quality just took snaps from my phone.

I think she wants your Giant's club.

It sounds like having her pick it up wasn't supposed to be allowed, and now it's treating her like Giant.

She doesn't act like a Giant, she swings it like it's a two-handed weapon. Just strange it only happens when I go to get another companion. I've equipped her then dismissed her and checked up on her and she was fine, but once I got the other companion =instant naked with club lol.

I'm guessing she just wants a three-some.

I was wondering what Lydia got up to when all alone in that dark, drafty house. Seems she really likes her new toy...

Really, REALLY likes her new toy. I'm a bit concerned for your relationship with her now, especially if you ever marry her. She will probably cheat on you with said club.

I hadn't planned on marrying her but this sure is making it hard... naw my Dunmer will still marry a Dunmer if I ever actually do get married in Skyrim. We'll all just get to have some fun lol.

Thank you for the front picture and especially the back picture.

That's the funniest bug I've seen. I wonder if it works with any other companion too.

Basically, giving them a giant club makes them think they're savage cavemen who wander around naked bashing things. Brillant!

J'zargo picked it up on mine, and it seemed to disappear. I noticed that if I take all his other weapons, he equips the club, even though it's not in his inventory. He'll wear whatever armor I give him, and as long as I give him no other weapon, he'll use the giant's club.

Yeah some how the game reads it as if it's the companions default weapon. Never seen anything else like this though, as in other weapons and armor taking the defaults slot.

Actually, the Giant's club is useable and equipable. It just doesn't appear in inventory. You have to use console commands for equiping the Giant's club. And somehow the giant's club has a spell on it. Each time you swing and hit someone, a green overlay appears on the screen and I don't know the exact effect.
