Correct me if I am wrong…

Please do not bash me here, I may have things confuzzled.

From what I know and read, Talos was Dragonborn. He founded the Empire and became Emperor. Because of this The Blades followed and became his bodyguards. Each child after Talos was automatically Emperor/Empress. Then all of sudden the Spetium line was wiped out with Martin’s sacrifice. However, according to the nim wit Blade chick girl, she said a person with the blood of the dragon has always sat upon the throne.

So uh doesn’t this technically mean you’re the emperor?

Well, I for one run around claiming to be the avatar of Talos or Talos Reborn and have been demanding at least the High kingship of Skyrim but nobody listens,

It's probably more like theoretically, you could be emperor if you made a serious effort(However, I believe Titus Mede II wouldn't step down without a serious fight, possibly causing an Imperial Civil War which could open up the Empire for a second Thalmor invasion). Theoretically, there could also be another dragonborn running around somewhere unaware of his/her powers.

Oh the Emperor is quite dead in my game, (mutters-Lowseygoodfornothingcoward) Point me in the direction of this person who does not know they are Dragonborn and I shall smite thee!

But anyways hmm, if its based on theory that makes me wonder what the writers plan on doing. They say one thing and now yes, very curious.

I think that at the time of the Septim line that was true. Only someone with dragon blood could sit on the throne. but the last of the Septim line died 200 years ago.

Right, Right. But they were all blessed by Akatosh and now you are. So are you trying to say that no longer is true since the Gates of Oblivion are now permanently closed?

Also, it's entirely possible Titus had a successor in mind. Even if he didn't, it's likely there's a sea of red tape on deciding who would be the next emperor should the worst happen I have a feeling that if you were to travel to the White-Gold Tower and tried to declare yourself emperor, you'd get laughed out of the city, jailed and executed for treason, or have the Thalmor and the all over you. If you wanted to be emperor, you'd probably have to survive an onslaught of red tape and politics (and possibly assassination attempts).

In Skyrim you must be a Jarl or king in order to be High Jarl.

i think only the High Jarl can be Emperor.
