I've been offered the option to buy the home in windhelm, Ive assited 5/5 people in the hold, but when I speak to the house carl or whoever he is, he tells me "There is a house available in town, but theres been complications and it's not currently for sale", or something very close to that.

It does not give me any leads as to what I should do next to purchase the home, so I found the house myself thinking maybe it was haunted, or someone was murdered there and I had to go figure it out on my own but when I approached the door it just says "this door cannot be unlocked without a key".

Any help? This is one of my favorite games of all time without a doubt, but Im finding more and more quest's glitching on me. First the Thieves Guild, then the White Phial, and now I can't purchase a home, It's losing it's wonder for me with each broken quest, please tell me I'm just missing something on this one . Thanks in advance for your help.
