Skeleton wearing a black shroud.

East of the Sleep Tree camp, south of the smaller mountain in the area, theres a grave site this 3 mounds and a could of ancient nord features, standing there is a skeleton with a black hood/shroud thing, it'll stand and stare at you, withdraw it's weapon like the bandits that warn you about getting too close do, but says nothing and doesn't have a unique name, sadly the awesome hood isn't lootable either :(. When you get too close 2 normal skeletons will appear as if he "calls" them?

Still whats up with him? Quest related? Aside from having a hood I want (seriously what is with the amount of awesome npc only gear this time round).

It's just a regular baddy. You'll come across them at various stages throughout the game... And yeah they do look pretty cool!

Either at a higher difficulty setting and or higher level these Mage Skeletons appear.

The graveyard as far as I am aware holds no quest value unless you want to count the Nightshade within as part of the quest for the Alchemist in Riften.

found one yesterday.. what a blast. While I was beginning to fight one and his skeleton minions, along came a couple necromancers, a sabretooth tiger, and then the giants and mammoths joined in, along with my conjured thrall. Quite a site to see. :)

I fought one of these at the end of Ironbind Barrow, only one I've seen so far.

Bethesda was really cruel by not allowing you to loot cool headgear. :(
