Earlier today i installed 3Dmark2001 to enter some competition. But after that i can only get something like 35-45 FPS in Skyrim and it was smooth before. I removed 3Dmark and have been trying to reset my CCC settings and skyrim settings and trying different settings to get it back up to 60FPS without any luck.
What in the world has gone wrong???

My system is
Intel I7 920 @ 4GHz
2 x AMD HD6950 using driver 12.3
6GB ram
Windows 7 x64

Im running skyrim with that SBW skyrim borderless window. Running it normal doesnt make it better either.

Strange one. All I can suggest is uninstall AMD drivers, reboot, install fresh drivers.

Also delete Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini so the game can make clean ones.

hmm i noticed that sometimes in certain areas it runs smooth but it feels like my character is running slower than usual O_o

I think i found the reason. I have tampered a bit with settings but forgot it
I cant run the game in more than 2xAA or else its down to below 40FPS
i cant do whatever i want with shadows and CCC settings and only gain or loose 2 to 3 FPS but going from 2 to 4xAA and the game looses 20FPS atleast..
