I seem to be having some problems running Skyrim. I just finished building a new gaming rig. It has an Asrock mobo with the AMD 990FX chipset, an AMD FX-8150 eight-core proc running at the stock frequency of 3.6 Ghz, 16 GB of DDR3 1600 RAM, a Radeon HD 6870 video card with 1 GB of GDDR5 graphics RAM and a 2 TB SATA 3 HDD. It's running the 64-bit version of Win 7 Ultimate and I just bought and installed Skyrim. It will load, but it runs like "crap". Most of the "key-mapping" doesn't work at all. the WASD seems to work, but almost nothing else does. On top of that, it has a serious problem with dropping frames. The result is that it's so "jerky" that it's not enjoyable to play. I've tried to look for any other software that may be interfering with the game; but, there's almost nothing on this machine except for Windows, ZoneAlarm Extreme Security and Skyrim. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
