I was closing random active quests from my index just to get them out of the way, so I chose to finish my first "Aftershock" quest (post College of Winterhold). I had to close a rupture just west of Bleakwind Basin. So I fast-travelled to Bleakwind basin. I rode Shadowmare right through the giant camp and got to the rupture no problem, but I sorta ignored my companion, Stenvar, who chose to engage the giants. I jumped off Shadowmare, and that's when everything went nuts.

Within moments Stenvar showed up chased by two giants and two mammoths. Then three energy creatures from the rupture joined the fray. It get's worse. Two big mudcrabs, an ancient dragon, and two imperial soldiers escorting a Stormcloak prisoner all showed up one after the other--and I hadn't even connected a blow to a single target yet because Shadowmare kept getting in the way.

Somehow I managed to keep both my companion and Shadowmare alive. Kills went as follows:

Right after I emptied the loot from the dragon the Stormcloak prisoner showed up (I didn't even realize he was there) and I received the dialog option to free him. The dragon loot had pushed me to the point of being over encumbered. The dialog option for the Stormcloak prisoner gave me the option to outfit the guy. I was feeling mighty generous so I gave him top-of-the-line armor and weapons, potions, jewels, soul gems and tons of junk stuff too. He ran away.

I was left dumbfounded surrounded by corpses.

I love this game.

Xbox 360--no screenshot, but my neighbor showed up to witness the aftermath and I have my gamesave prior to the whole experience. I might have to see if I can recreate the events by going back to that gamesave.

Will be impossible. Half those events sound like the random events that... well... randomly happen?

No need of screenshot, dudes. These things really happens in the game. Just happened to happen with him.

I would love to do find something like that. So far I've been only engaged by the Legion, the Thalmor and 4 giants at the same time. Mass Mayhem made me happy that time and only left 3 giants alive to tell the tale.
