TATICAL ADVICE

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 8:51 pm

Well I arrive at a fort near Windhelm and a Blood Dragon attacks. I stand on the battlements launching a few arrows as it swoops in blasting me with fire, after a few minutes I have it down to about 60% then it swoops again picks me up and drops me 100ft to my death. I have killed many dragons (not on this one its only lvl18) and never seen that before its seems a little unfair.

I have been eaten loads times, I now keep my distance when they are on the floor but I have never been swept of my feet before and dropped like a turtle.

That sounds cool as hell. It can't be something that happens all that often (I've only seen one dragon kill animation, I think- it picked me up in its mouth and and tossed me around -would be cooler if it actually swallowed you). I think you should just consider it a rare treat, and just replay from last save.

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.

Yes I like the idea of the dragon swallowing me pelican style.

Agreed, There has been a few times when I thought the animation was going to be me jumping on its neck and finishing it off only to see the rag doll video. It happens. Reload, try again.

If your time has come, that is a really dramatic exit. As they said in previous TES forums, save often. Skyrim is a dangerous place.

That is probably a death animation activated by a killing blow from the equivalent of a dragon's "Critical Charge" perk. In other words, you took double critical damage.
