Hello.

I am currently trying to do the Imperial quest "Message to Whiterun". However, I am unable to do so, because Legate Quentin Cipius (towards whom both the quest marker and the Jarl directed me) does not engage in proper dialogue. Instead, he only speaks some generic lines about how he's eager to kill some Stormcloaks and how I should watch my back.

I have tried several methods suggested by various sources in the Internet. I have tried waiting, leaving the area, and fast travelling to a different location and then back to Dragonsreach, but none of these work. The Legate still refuses to speak to me.

Completing the quest with console commands is not an option either. If I try set the quest stage to its conclusion, the quest ends, but I do not receive the following quest.

I would be ever so grateful if someone knew the solution to my problem.

Oh, also: apologies in advance if I posted my question in the wrong subforum. I think this is the correct one, but could be mistaken.

Try "resetquest CW03" in the console, minus the quotes. The command does exactly what it says.

My apologies if this is a silly question, but what do I do after using that command? When I use it, the game gives me the "Quest Completed" message, and moves the quest to the completed quests -category in the journal.

However, it doesn't give me the next quest, nor am I able to get the quest again from General Tullius.
