I've completed the Imperial Legion quest series, fought my way through multiple Stormcloak forts, and re-taken Windhelm. However, after fast-travelling back to Whiterun to continue with other quests, I've found that Hadvar is still following behind me, sword drawn. It makes my shoulderblades itch.

I've tried talking to him but I only get stock responses, no dialogue opens up. I've tried asking someone else to follow me to see if that would dismiss him, but he still hangs around. Short of an arrow to the neck, how do I get this guy to take the hint?

EDIT: Nevermind, when I re-loaded the game he sheathed his sword and wandered off.

Haha, he probably got tired of you.
