The guy getting executed on Solitude.

Yes, if you kill the headsman and everybody else.

Ah. Probably, then, with a powerful bow + slow time shout.

If you go to the guy - dang it can't remember his name near the hall of the dead in solitude Syir or something like that - you get to ask the question "Was the man that was executed was brought here?" I have never asked the question as I was doing something else at the time and didn't want to get distracted. Might advance for you but I haven't tried it. It might go no where.

You can if you're fast enough. I tried to do this very thing just because, and I not only got locked up for it, but they killed him anyway...and i missed out on the Amulet of Talos as well.

He'll die anyway. Everyone around him's dead, he still dies.

I haven't been able to get rid of the bloody Amulet. I've got 4 of them, and his wife still won't talk to me about them.

Why would you want to? For the challenge?

I imagine if you're a devout Stormcloak follower, you would be crazy not to try. In fact, that's a damn good idea for me to try out once I make/play my stormcloak character-I'll just have to make sure he's level 30 or 40 first. I doubt I can take on half of Solitude at a lower level and live to tell about it.

I was refering, obliquely, to the fact that he's a jerk. There's a guy in Solitude who will tell you how Roggvir bullied him all his life. (Dont' recall who, sry.)
Yeah, the guard capt says he was a good guy. But to quote a certain black dog, it's how we treat the small people that shows who we are.

Just did that same thing, except I didn't have Lydia with me, and I had to take out Jala myself. I think that was because she's the wife of the executioner, Ahtar. Otherwise she's the last witness to your dirty deed and when she goes down you end up without a 1000 septim bounty. Although afterwards, I just reloaded my game anyway, it was a good try though.

Something for Bethesda to try and add in next time, a "save the guy" mission.
