Is it just me, or is Skyrim updated pretty much every day? Several megabytes are downloaded as soon as I start Steam. Next to "Skyrim" in the games list, it might start counting "17%, 18%, 19%...", then stop as if it were complete. Then I play Skyrim for a few hours, turn it off, Steam keeps going with "25%, 26%, 28%..." and then stops once more. I start Skyrim and play some more, turn it off, Steam keeps updating with 73%, 74%, 75%..." and so on until it reaches 100. This has started happening pretty much every day these past few weeks. Is it normal, or am I missing something?

It's not updated that often. Do you have the Cloud enabled for Skyrim? It's under one of the tabs in the Properties window you get to from within Steam: in the Library tab, right-click Skyrim->Properties.

Sounds like the Cloud Save function that uploads \downloads copies of your saves to Steam's servers -- I'd suggest turning it off as it might eventually cause problems when it tries to keep things in sync and deletes\overwrites a Save you have on your local system with a version from the server !

I've disabled steam cloud altogether. Lost my Sonic Generations save because of that rubbish lol, I'd be gutted if my skyrim one was lost to.
