I'm very new to the whole elder scrolls world and RPGs in general. I kinda of want a "guide" or just some tips on how to make a character that specializes in one thing, such as one-hand, magic, etc. I know that for every specialization that are specific things but what are the general steps of making a pure character?

You already answered your question, then its a matter of what dificulty you will be playing in, the harder the more crafting is important, and therefore the further away you need to go from the "pure" build.
