Stuck with a head

I am doing the companions quest line and went retrIeve a withes head. When I get back they were attacked and the guy you are doing the quest for is dead. Now how do I get rid of this 4 pound head

^This...you aren't done yet OP. Vilkas should ask where the hell you were while they got attacked, and it will lead you to Kodlaks body and initiate the next quest sequence.

I WAS GREEDY AND TOOK THE 4 HEADS!!!!.AS THE OTHER GUYS SAY U WILL GET RID OF IT IN THE FUTURE.I GOT RID OF 2 OF THEM THE WAY UR SUPPOSED TO AND SOLD THE OTHERS TO SHOP IN WHITERUN AFTER QUEST WAS DONE.

TIP......QUEST ITEMS DONT WEIGH ANYTHING. IF YOU DUMP EVERYTHING FROM UR INVENTORY YOU WILL SEE UR WEIGHT IS - 0 - ALTHOUGH QUEST ITEMS ARE STILL THERE
