Xbox 360 Controller on PC lags

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 9:46 pm

Hi guys!

I've got an older rig, so the reason for my gaming lag could be countless, which is why I will simply ask an open question:

I've got a significant lag when playing with the xbox controller, from pressing a button / moving to actually seeing it happen on screen.

Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster T240
Graphic card: ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB
CPU: AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core 2.50 GHz
RAM: 6 GB
Windows Vista 64bit

Controller Driver is current.

1440x900 (1980x1080 native)
antialiasing 2 samples
anisotropic filter 2 samples

I also installed the mod "Super ENB RL"

The problem is most likely SuperB ENB. I tried that out but its an absolute FPS killer. You could run Skrim at full resolution with higher graphics settings without ENB. See if it improves things by turning it off in-game by pressing shift-f12. Also if you have a bunch of mods that run scripts it can add to game lag. If anything, the controller improves things by avoiding the horrible mouse lag in this game.

Thats pretty much what i did, removed ENB RL and instead chose RCRN ("realistic colors realistic night" or something), which gives much better performance and looks better too! (at least on my rig)

With scripting mods i assume you mean stuff like "ultimate follower overhaul"?

Now I'm hoping that the guy behind Skyboost supports the latest patch, if you can believe the forum hype that thing does wonders for weak pcs.
