Pacifist Character

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 5:06 pm

I am very interested in starting up a pacifist character and I was wondering what I could do to have enemies killed without me killing them directly. So I have a few questions and I would appreciate it if someone would test them out.

1. If a follower gets a kill does it add to my kill count?

2. Does Call Odahviing add to my kill count if he gets kills?

3. Does Call of Valor/Animal Allegiance add to my kill count?

4. If I paralyze/Ice Form/Fus Ro Dah someone and they fall and die, does it add to my kill count?

Also, what race do you think would best suit a pacifist or non-violent character?

Ive been searching, but I think your number 4 question is a definite yes and 1 2 and 3 should be fine. The damage stemmed from your character whether you physically hit them or not with a shout or a scroll...falling off a cliff after would kill them but you tagged them first with the skill or scroll you used.

The follower thing I think would be okay if you didnt order them. If you order them then it can go towards a bounty in that hold.

Thanks. It would make sense that pushing them off of a cliff would add to my kills, but I just wanted to be sure.

Why not? I can just heal my companion and try to kite the dragon near some guards. If companions do not add to my kill count that is.

Won't it get dull not killing... ever? This game sort of hinges on combat.

I just want to try it out. I already have a mage, an assassin, and a warrior. There are plenty of quests and other things to do that do not require killing.

It's a roleplaying thing. Some people like to give themselves challenges like this. As for if it's boring, that depends on the person who's playing.

Seeing as you don't obtain any of those shouts until late in the Main Quest, which requires you to kill enemies, I don't think what you are trying to do is feasible.

Actually none of the main quests require that I directly kill anyone.

Ok, that's proof the concept is pretty viable.

Also, is your name a reference to the first member of the Elite 4 in R/B/Y? :)

No, it's from a poem from my country, and also from the poem Die Lorelei by Heinrich Heine.
