I'm going to be starting my first *main storyline* play-through as a pure mage. I was wondering if that is possible to achieve without the use of Combat weapons such as Bows, Swords, armor, etc. Since I'm only going to be relying on the use of Magic. And also, will the main storyline quests give me experience in the combat tree? Please try to keep spoilers at a minimum. Thanks,

I completed the main quest with minimum use of weapons. All of my perks when into Destruction. Alteration, Restoration, and Alchemy and I didn't raise any of the weapon or armor skills very much (mostly through reading books).

Of course. Nowhere in the MQ are you ever commanded to hit something with a melee weapon or an arrow in order to proceed.

The only things you *have* to use from time to time are shouts.

so i started a mage, pored 5 levels into magicka and destruction perks (with mage stone) and wearing the best magic gear available and it still seems like i have to resort to *drinking minor magic potion x 10* as there are no better potions available yet... is it me or is low level magic U/P?
