Okay, so I love exploring places in Skyrim and one time, I got to Septimus' Outpost by accident and I entered the place. I got the quest "Discerning the Transmundane" and I'm at the part where I need to collect some blood. I've read that this quest is actually part of the main quest line, which I'm avoiding to do to prolong the game a little. I'm only at the Diplomatic Immunity quest of the main quest line. Can there be any possible conflict once I continue with the main quest line?

No, it won't conflict. You'll find a quest item needed for the main quest which will stay in your inventory until you get to that part, though.

It'll say it weighs 20, but it actually doesn't weigh anything.
