Forced companions

Being an assassin playing in master difficulty myself, i get killed in 2 hits in open combat, 3 if i am lucky. The shadow warrior perk is the only thing that makes me keep up with my enemy, usually resulting in me backstabbing them. But being the stealthy assassin I am I can usually avoid direct combat. The problem is, the companions questline gives me a companion. All seems good? NO. This idiot runs in as soon as he sees some enemy, and leaves me in an 5v1 situation. "whats the problem just use shadow warrior like you would!!!!11111 N000b!!" NO. I cant use shadow warrior to backstab them because in order for a bacstab to work I need to be totally unseen. I am when i sneak, so whats the problem? Oh the enemy can see my companion :). The game has never been this frustrating before, what I try to do is sneak attack this ***** and try to clear the next room as soon as possible but there is not much I can do because as soon as I take out someone this idiot runs in shouting. WHY CANT I ORDER THIS GUY TO STAND STILL like I would with any onormal companion??? Please tell me there is a way to get rid of him before I use the console to delete him from the game.

A stealthy assassin probably shouldn't be joining The Companions. I think expecting any type of build to be able to do every single quest in the game is asking a bit much.

The Companions quest-line is a quest-line catered to Melee fighters, not stealth fighters. That's like saying "Uh this mage guild quest requires I use magic to open dis door BUT LIEK I'M A WARRIOR WTF/.../?//??"

Are the quest-lines completeable by all arch-types? Yes. Is it optimal? Of coarse not, and thank goodness.
