But I'm not sneaky...

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 3:27 am

I've played through both parts of the Civil War and in each case I had to do a couple quests where I would sneak around. Well both those times I was in light armor so it didn't matter.

Well now I'm an Orc in Heavy plate. He does not sneak. He bashes things with his hammer. Is there a way to just skip these quests (as they are just not for him) or will I not be able to finish the civil war quests unless I go though them ... somehow.

Thanks.

If you're referring to freeing the prisoners you can just bash heads in and then free them. There's no rule saying you can't, the dude just expects you to sneak.

That one, but also the one where you have to steal some evidence to frame someone. That took sneakiness.

I went in and cut the hell out of everything and left a blood stained mess where I had been regardless of objective.
They tell you to sneak because realistically there are not a lot of spartan-like warriors who can take on an army alone.

You didn't even have to sneak for that one... Get in, get the evidence, and get out before the guard says "You're not suppose to be here." 3 times. :D It was that simple.

My first character wore heavy armor and it really wasn't an issue. It'll be fine for one or two quests. Just take your shoes off and go barefoot to muffle the noise.

Nothing really requires sneaking. Bash your way through and let Arkay sort 'em out.

The only quests in the game I've discovered that require stealth are with the thieves guild, every other time it's just a suggestion.

What? I thought you were caught basically as soon as they saw you. Dang.

I really don't what to just kill my way in. The guy is an Orc, but he's a noble soul.

Thanks all.

muffle... 180 seconds of omgosh be quiet be quiet be quiet

even a bad sneak is a passing sneak if you muffle and go slow

the RP in my mind pictures a warrior with their hands pressed flat against the plates on their chest panting from the effort of keeping every plate and every buckle from making any noise while he sneaks through the dark weaponless and twitchy at every sound... not a preferred method of getting things done for a character made for leaping in screaming and swinging heavy objects.

enjoy. lol
