In my misc quest it says to speak to Lod, but he is dead in the streets from a dragon attack.

Does anybody know if I'll be able begin this quest and obtain the artifact?

You will not be able to.

If you are on a PC, you can open the console, click on his corpse and write "Resurrect" (Without the "), and he will magically come back to life

I forgot to mention I'm on the ps3 and I was trying to get the trophy (get 15 Daedric artifacts). I received both the Saviors Hide and the Hiricine ring so maybe I'll be ok, I don't know for sure.

I wish I had a PC I would revive him for good!

I reanimated him with a staff, but I couldn't talk to him and then he turned into a pile of ash 60 secs later

It's funny, everytime I follow the quest arrow for "speak to lod" I walk up upon the ash pile just hoping he's back alive somehow
