I've already done this quest with another character, but I'll be damned if I can remember how it was completed, I'm in the cave now, wiped out all that moved, took all the moon sugar and skoomer, but the quest is not completing, there is no pointer to any quest.

Anyone have insight how this is supposed to be completed or is this bugged?

You just go back to Maven, I assume...

If you cleared that area previous to taking on the quest, sometimes you can't finish it. If this is the case, you can try using the console to reset the cave, but I personally have never done that and I am not sure if it would help you complete the quest.


Edit: The command is: resetinterior CragslaneCavern01. I am assuming it would probably be better if you were not inside the cave at the time.

The quest is for the jarl of Riften, but it's still telling me to disrupt the skoomer operation, I've received no message telling me the disruption is complete.

Another thing I found: if the quest is not finished, travel away from there, wait for cell reset time (usually three days) and go back. Sometimes killing the guard outside the door will complete the quest.
