This may be considered a light exploit, but totally within intended game mechanics.

Even rabbits start attacking the player character when he/she uses Fury (low level illusion spell). This way I got a very good boost in crafting at the lower levels (when 1 bow shot is too weak to kill the prey and sneaking is not yet good enough to get within melee range). Hope it helps someone

It works if you cast courage on them, too.
