I have the problem that Aela keeps wanting to use her basic hunting bow rather than the nice upgrade I gave her. It doesnt show the hunting bow in her inventory so I cant just take it away from her. Im trying to use the console to remove her hunting bow like the wiki describes. The console commands are:
getitemcount 0010e2dd (is supposed to tell you how many hunting bows she has)
removeitemcount 0010e2dd # (is supposed to remove # from her inventory)

The first time I tried this it took several tries before it worked and Im not sure what exactly I did different to make it finally work. This was about 3 days ago I think. Now she has respawned her old hunting bow so I have the same problem again and I again cant get the console commands to work. The getitemcount is supposed to return a value but its not giving me anything. When I first used it it did the same thing - no return value through several tries, then suddenly it gave me a 6 and I knew she had 6 hidden bows. I know its supposed to be a targetted command and I do have her targetted. Ive also tried opening the console when her inventory is opened but thats not helping. I also tried using getitemcount 0003b562 because thats the item # given elsewhere in wiki but its no different result. Does anyone know how these commands are supposed to work, or have some clue what I might be doing wrong?

■There is a known bug, that Aela won't equip any other than her default bow.( It may occur from removing her default Hunting Bow from her inventory in an attempt to make her use a new bow, in which case it appears the character resorts to using unmarked-inventory default Hunting Bow)(PC: the problem can be resolved using the console: open console and select Aela by clicking on her, type "showinventory" and search for the hunting bow and iron arrows; type "remove.item <# of item she has>" and enter this code twice, first time nothing happens, second time the items will be removed and she will use every arrow/bow you give to her.
