Hi everyone...First sorry for my english...I have the bsod problem from day one with skyrim. The game was running fine until i exit the first dungeon of the game and moving to riverwood, then boom black screen.I had this problem only outdoors as the game didn't crash in dungeons or caves. So i tried everything from 11/11/11 i got the game that this forum and nexus provided without success... So a guy from nexus a couple days ago suggested this
Please do consider resetting your graphics card to it's factory defaults. I'm not saying it is the definitive fix, but it immediately worked for me. No problem at all since.
So i went to catalyst control center then preferences and then reset to default settings and my problem fixed so i encourage you to try this it is actually working i don't have any black screen yet maybe it will fix the crash to desktop problems so many people have

I just started playing again since November and get constant BSOD errors while playing Skyrim using Crossfire with two Sapphire 6950 2gb cards unlocked and overclocked. Battlefield 3, Shogun 2, and other newer games play just fine.

I updated my drivers since they were behind and that didnt fit anything so I used the last version from a reccomendation and that didn't do anything either.

What I found that worked was disabling Crossfire in my Catalyst Control Center. My FPS has improved from and average of 30 to an average of 40 (I'm playing on a 30 inch monitor at 2560x1600 with 2x aa and 4x af and a texture pack). I have yet to experience any BSOD since disabling crossfire.

Just keep that in mind if you are getting errors, but I am still looking for a stable way to play with crossfire enabled.

This probably not relevant but ...
I was starting to have a lot of BSoDs and Skyrim was unplayable. I discovered one of my 2x SLI'd GTX480s had died. Windows still ran okay and the nVidia control panel still insisted my settings including SLI were unchanged. Only switching in and out the two cards showed one was dead, probably overheated.
