Unbelievably funny and so wrong

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 5:13 am

On entering a cave like structure I saw three bandits at the top of some steps, I took all three out with a bow while in stealth, while looting one of the bodies I accidentally grabbed some leather armor, so I went into my inventory and dropped it, a moment later a bandit marauder came running out, picked up the armor and said "it's careless to leave things lying around" and gave it back to me, then went back to his post, I've got tears from laughter.

This did not happen because Skyrim is souless and NPC's do not react to you in any way. Your actions do not matter.

If you have a recent save it would be awesome if you could record it

Lol. I can verify. This same thing happened to me out in the world map on a random road. I was clearing space for some dragon bones (dropping armour, chugging pots, etc.) and a group of bandits came running up to me... all of them attacked, except one, who told me something along the lines of "don't throw your trash around just anywhere" then ran away while his buddies died.

One time I bought a Mourner's Cap from the Radiant Raiment, tried it on, didn't like it (it ate my Argonian's horns), so I put it on the counter. Cue shop owner yelling at me for leaving my refuse around her shop.

lol.. I also had a pretty hilarious event today. While underestimating my named necromancer opponent who quickly shot 4 ice spikes in me leaving my dying on her altar.... She stands over my body and says something to the effect, "Are you sure your feeling alright? You look sort of ill"

I had caught a disease from one of her earlier minions to which I had no cure at the time. It was nice to know she was concerned for my health after having disposed of me pretty thoroughly.

It's not the kind of thing I'd expect to see twice in a row since radiant story does these things randomly, but it was obvious what happened, I have maxed sneak and wearing boots that increase sneak by 25% therefore the marauder did not see an enemy, it just reacted to the radiant story.

Skyrim A.I at its best.

we'll react to you dropping a dagger because we THINK that even though you intentionally dropped a dagger, you still want it back. but come dressed in our sworn enemies clothing and we'll treat you like a king.
